Our Story

Founded in 1974, Chatham Carpets & Interiors began as a small family-owned company in Silk Hope, North Carolina. Over time, the company expanded from a small room and then a warehouse. In 1983, a fire destroyed the business facilities, and operations were temporarily moved back. While it destroyed everything we'd worked for so far, we took this as an oppurtunity to rebuild and expand.

Today, second and third-generation family members continue to lead Chatham Carpets. With more than 100 years of combined industry experience across our staff and installation crews, we provide knowledgeable guidance in product selection and professional installation services designed to deliver long-lasting results.
